Thursday, October 31st, will be the last day of Quarter 1. Friday, November 1st, there will be no school as it is a marking day. This is your opportunity to take advantage of the many resources our community has to offer, including the Hennepin County Libraries. Many of you have applied for a HCL library card so this is your chance to put them to use by checking out a book or two.

Mission

Wellstone International High School (WIHS) provides an equitable education for English Learners (ELs) by meeting academic and social-emotional needs. WIHS builds on the assets and experiences of ELs’ multilingualism and multiculturalism. Students are expected to critically analyze and respond to local and global issues while enhancing awareness of self and others. Academic standards, research-based support systems and experiential learning come together to produce a rich academic setting. Advanced coursework includes college courses and opportunities for students to prepare for post-secondary options.  WIHS utilizes and promotes collaboration and community engagement through enhanced community partnerships.
