We left our countries,

Cansados de tanta pobreza.

Tired of so much poverty.

Abandonando a nuestra familia,

Abandoning our family,

Para ayudarlos en esta vida.

To help them in this life.

Resbalan por nuestras mejillas,

Bitter tears,

Unas lágrimas amargas.

Rolling down our cheeks.

En el fondo de nuestro llanto,

Our carry our defeated souls,

Derrotada llevamos el alma.

Crying from deep within.

Un sueño venimos a construir,

We come to build a dream,

En este nuevo país.

In this new country

Difícil de conseguir,

Difficult to achieve,

Pero no imposible cumplir.

But not impossible to carry out.

With our heads held high,

Seguimos luchando.

We keep on struggling,
