Damian is our math student of the week! He works hard to understand the material each week; he asks good questions and takes notes so he can refer back to what he has practiced.  He makes sure to clarify with the teacher that he understands each objective well before he takes a quiz.  He understands that he needs to explain his answers instead of just stating them.

Wellstone is a Celebration & Focus School

Wellstone is a Celebration-Eligible School!

The purpose of the Celebration School recognition is to identify Minnesota Title I schools that have demonstrated both excellence on the MMR which measures school performance in the areas of student proficiency, student growth, closure of the achievement gap, and graduation rates as well as success with initiatives that have led to positive student outcomes.

This year Wellstone International High School has been designated a focus school under the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). The designation is based on student performance data that placed our school among the ten percent of schools making the largest contribution to the state’s achievement gap.
